I don’t remember how I started thinking about unconditional love exactly, but I’ve been thinking a lot about it in the last few months. I wonder how many people I give unconditional love to, and whether or not that unconditional love will ever (or should ever?) become conditional. It’s okay, right? To give unconditional love out so freely like ketchup packets and business cards? I’m not saying I give it out so freely, but is there something wrong with someone who does? Does love always have to be earned?

There’s something inexplicably wonderful about unconditional love. You can hate someone you will always love. Unconditional love: it’s not unconditional forgiving or unconditional giving. It’s unconditional faith in someone and unconditional care.
